The Han dynasty was able to expand their empire to many different parts of china, including some parts of Asia. The production of iron tools/weapons was a major contributor to the spreading of the Han dynasty. The Han dynasty's metalworkers were very skilled and created many weapons such as the crossbow, a weapon in the shape of a cross that has a string attached to the back and when triggered, fires an arrow, or sharpened stick.
The Han dynasty was well known for having a large, well organized army. Every man from the ages twenty-five to sixty was required to serve for two years. "Historians estimate that the Han armies had 130,000 to 300,000 men."
SUMMARY: The Han dynasty was very skilled in the production of iron weapons/tools. They created many weapons to help strengthen their army such as; extra long swords to help fight the enemy from a safer distance without getting struck, and shields to protect themselves if someone were to strike them.
