the kite
The Han dynasty came up with very clever ways to get messages to and from different locations. One of those ways was by the kite. The kite was created to send messages and to scare away enemies from their camps. A bamboo kite was created because, when caught by the wind, the wind blows through the bamboo kite making a noise that sounds like "fu, fu" (which means beware, beware.) This would often scare the enemy causing them to flee.
The kite was created by the Han dynasty for many purposes such as;
* Warning off enemies
* Sending messages to each other without the enemy knowing what it is.
* Finding distances and wind direction.

This is a traditional modern-day Chinese kite used for leisure and/or recreation.
Summary: The Han dynasty used kites to scare off enemies by making kites that were bamboo. When they caught the wind they made a sound "fu fu'" which means beware. They also used the kite to communicate without the enemy knowing. Another way they used the kite was to measure distances and speed directions. This is how the Han Dynasty successfully used the kite and the many ways it helped to expand their empire throughout china.
